As a licensed psychologist, board certified art therapist, and long-time Sonoma County resident, I have been serving individuals and families in the bay area for the last 25 years.
In addition to working as a therapist, I am also the department chair of a bay area’s university graduate program, training Marriage and Family Therapists, and Art Therapists. Since 1983, I have served, and continue to serve, as therapist and consultant with a local residential psychiatric treatment center for adolescents. As consultant to an East Bay center for addiction treatment, I served as interim director, and staff trainer. I have supervised therapeutic interns at various residential and day treatment sites, and have had the privilege of serving as past president of the National Board of Directors of the Art Therapy Credentials Board, and past Associate Editor of the National Art Therapy Journal.
Therapy is a process of becoming empowered and skilled in implementing changes in our experience. My role as therapist is to facilitate your empowerment and support you in designing and implementing desired change. I offer clear listening, empathetic reflection and guidance in imaginative and creative response. The therapy process requires caring, commitment and hard work. I will meet you in each of these areas of responsibility; I am able to carry additional responsibility at those times when you are less able and require restoration.
Let’s discuss possibilities of collaboration to develop practices that support your goals toward emotional health, self-fulfillment, and clear intention in your story.
